BDF Exterior Film - EXS15

BDF EXS15 Daytime Privacy and Sun Control window film is applied on the outside of the window, working to reject heat before it even passes through your windows, which keeps your home much cooler. Because of it exterior application, the Exterior Silver 15 is a preferred choice for DUAL PANE windows. Along with high heat rejection, the Exterior Silver 15 also provides great daytime privacy with its dark, reflective surface, creating a mirror effect when seen from outside during daytime. If you have double-pane windows but want to add daytime privacy and high heat rejection to your living arrangements, the Exterior Silver 15 would be an ideal choice.

Since the film is exposed to the conditions outside, the edges of the installed film should be sealed with silicone window caulking after the film has fully dried.


Keep It Cool

Not only does the EXS15 exterior window film provide great daytime privacy, but its dark tint also gives it excellent heat rejecting properties that keeps your interior nice and cool, blocking about 79% of the total solar energy coming in from the sun. The number "15" its name refers to the dark silver tint that gives the window that reflective, mirrored look.

Daytime Privacy

The effect of any daytime privacy window film will greatly depend on the lighting conditions, because the side exposed to more light will become more reflective and harder to see through. This is why the privacy effect works so well during the day, since the sun usually makes the exterior of your building much, much brighter than the interior. The use of curtains or blinds will be needed for nighttime privacy.

99% UV Rejection
